COLOUR BUG

I had major #hairenvy when Nicole Richie stepped out with her purple locks. I wanted so desperately to do it myself but I was a little hesitant that it wouldn't turn out the way I hoped and then I was stuck looking like BARNEY!
So I searched the market for temporary colours that would not stain my blonde hair. Something that would rinse out easily without the use of clarifying shampoo's or stripping my hair.
That is when my good pal Kevin Murphy came into the picture. It is a chalk-based product, and you can rub the compact bug onto the area of hair you want until you are happy with its vibrancy. Simple yet effective.

Caution: Use gloves when handling this product =)

Happy colouring!!

Midi Madness

The midi length...Oh, how I adore it! It is the perfect example of a 'less is more' scenario. It is revealing in a way that doesn't show skin, instead the material accentuates the female body. Any gal, regardless of their shape, height or "butt-cup" can master the midi, so long as the length hits the right part of the leg. Aim for a length just below the knee for tight midi's and 3/4 of the way down the leg for flowy tea length skirts. There is no particular 'rule' per se, but that is what I find works best for me.
The midi was seen on style icons such as Audrey Hepburn, and now stars all over the red carpet are modernizing the midi. You can get away with more up top (strapless, backless) when their is extra length at the hemline.
 HOW TO WEAR:
- Feel free to wear crops to help define the waist when wearing tea-cup length skirts/midi skirts.
- Try wearing jumpers/very structured tops for a boxy look.

Over-The-Knee

Next up on the wish list: Over-the-knee boots ... Lusting over these right about now.

There was a huge rave about these a few years back and at the time I did purchase a flat pair from Joanne Mercer. I literally spent hours on end trying to find a pair that fit around the calves and thighs. I HATE HATE HATE (shouting at the top of my lungs) seeing them loose fitted, so when I did find a pair of over the knee boots that matched my leg circumference - sure enough I thought of it as an investment :).
That is pretty much my excuse for any purchase, I classify it as being an 'investment' and it all seems okay...

SO that is the flat pair sorted, its time to dust those and start wearing them again.
This Fall/Winter I need a pair of heeled over-the-knee boots...After all its a worthy. 'investment'.

I am in love with the Stuart Weitzman Highland boots, as gorgeous as they are unfortunately I do not have a spare $1000 lying around to spend on boots.

Here are some less-expensive alternatives.

1. Isabel Over The Knee Boot
2. JEFFREY CAMPBELL over the knee stiletto boot
3. Zara Leather boots with heel. If you find these available to purchase in Australia please let me know :)

Its quite difficult to piece a pair of over the knee boots with clothing because its so EASY to look easy. You can't wear anything tight because you WILL look like a street walker. The key is to ensure you don't pair them with any tight bottoms - otherwise your boarding the hooker train.

Pair these boots with:

- a sloppy jumper
- drop crotch denim shorts
- wool sloppy dress
- pleated/fluted hem skirt
- tie a jumper around the waist
- baggy playsuit
- leather track shorts

Black Roses & Tulips

The 'Black Roses Bonded Tulip Dress' is ah-mazing, it's a definite #musthave! The neoprene Shakuhachi dress features a tight bustier bodice which offers extreme support and flows into a tulip bottom. So happy with this purchase! I paired it together with some black & gold TBs and I tied my hair into a low ponytail to accentuate the gorgeous strapless neckline.
